Strutmonkey believes that, when you really get down to it, we are all one people living on one Earth. Our differences are small in the big picture. We all want the same things - health, family and friends, education, to feel safe, to follow whatever faith we choose, or none at all, and a little time for fun!
We also all want to help others who are in need. If we all did something small, the smalls would become something big! To this end, Strutmonkey donates $10 from every suspension kit to worthy causes. When you buy a Strutmonkey kit, you are making this possible! Our current focus is on Tamaini Junior School in Karatu, Tanzania, Africa: Tumaini Junior School first opened in 2004 with 17 students in the living room of Tumaini Schools co-founders, Modest and Lightness Bayo. Today, Tumaini Junior School has over 1000 students, with 300 boarding at the school because of family situations or homes that are too far away. The school focuses on students who, but for the school, would be at risk of having no education. Tumaini Junior School has consistently ranked in the top 1% of all primary schools in Tanzania according to the national exam given to the oldest grade. As students graduated from the junior school, a need for a secondary school arose. That school just opened in 2016. And the goal is to offer college courses by 2020. The school is dependent greatly on donations and student sponsorships to stay open. |

Because of your support, Strutmonkey is also able to sponsor individual people who help others. One is Victor Bell, who races a modified BMW 335d in SCCA and One Lap of America. Victor uses this platform to raise awareness and money for the Fischer House Foundation who provide comfort homes for service member and veteran families near medical facilities to provide a place to stay while their loved one is in treatment. He also supports a charitable effort for first responders with mental health concerns, called Responders Retreat. Because of all he does, Strutmonkey and our customers support him! |
